take it back bob dole. how could you? are you really letting politics dictate what you say these days? i've always thought you were a stand up guy. i may have disagreed w/your ideology, but you always seemed to have strong moral character. now you're saying that john kerry should apologize for his words against the vietnam war after he got out of the army. he spoke his mind bob. last i checked, the us was in vietnam to 'defend democracy' and democracy means led by the people. in this country, you can say what you want to say as long as your speech doesn't lead to the physical harm of someone. kerry stating his opinions & what he saw did not physically harm anyone. he does not need to apologize to anyone just because other vets disagree.
you add that all his wounds were superficial & that he never bled. he got the 3 purple hearts so he could get out of service. c'mon bob. you know kerry has shrapnel in his leg. the navy records show what kind of injuries kerry had.

why are you standing up for this administration? i understand you are falling in line w/the party, but take a note from john mccain. don't be blinded by the leader of your party into saying things that just aren't true. maybe you now owe kerry & the people who thought you weren't a party puppet an apology. an apology for helping the bush adminstration try to keep the american people's minds off the issues because you know bush loses on the issues.
the one thing bush has done w/success in his administration is ruin the reputation of stand up republicans. powell, rice & now dole. who's next?
by the way, now that the kerry smear backlash is hitting the fan, i fully expect an elevated terror announcement w/in the week. bank on seeing tom ridge & his hearing aid standing on a podium talking about some chatter that will never materialize...until the next bush gaffe.
